hyatt hotel and offices

A new Hyatt hotel named Clayfield will open in Niagara-on-the-Lake in spring 2026. The hotel will be located at 111 Garrison Village Dr. and will feature 60 rooms for guests. Traditional Neighbourhood Developments is developing the project.

The Clayfield Hotel will operate as a Hyatt franchise, meaning it won’t be directly owned by Hyatt. Instead, it will be part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, which includes unique boutique properties around the world. The hotel’s name reflects the local agricultural heritage and creative culture of the region.

In addition to the main hotel rooms, the development will include 42 vacation rental apartments in buildings behind the hotel. These apartments will be larger than standard hotel rooms and will include kitchenettes, making them ideal for families or visitors planning longer stays. All 102 rooms and apartments will be bookable through the hotel.

Traditional Neighbourhood Developments will handle ownership and development of the property. While Hyatt isn’t directly owning the hotel, the partnership gives the Clayfield access to Hyatt’s brand recognition and hospitality expertise. This opening aligns with Hyatt’s ambitious global expansion plans that aim to grow several of its brands significantly by 2028. Guests can expect to use Hyatt loyalty program benefits for qualifying stays.

The project is expected to boost local tourism in Niagara-on-the-Lake and create new jobs in the hospitality sector. The hotel’s design aims to reflect the local identity while offering contemporary comfort and service.

Construction will take place throughout 2025 and early 2026, with the grand opening planned to coincide with the region’s peak tourism season. The development team plans to provide ongoing updates and engage with the community during the building phase.

When completed, the Clayfield Hotel is expected to become a landmark within Garrison Village, offering a boutique, personalized experience for visitors seeking unique accommodations in the Niagara region. The hotel will emphasize local heritage while providing modern amenities for guests.

Projects like this reflect a growing demand for authentic, locally inspired travel experiences. As new developments take shape, they contribute to both the visitor economy and the region’s evolving identity. Explore more tourism updates and hospitality stories on Marketplace Niagara.
