Creativity will bloom in Pelham next year as the city’s Parks and Recreation department launches its first Spring Craft Show in 2025. The event was developed after numerous vendors expressed interest and community members requested more craft-focused gatherings in the area.
The outdoor weekend event will showcase local and regional vendors selling handmade arts, crafts, and gifts. Visitors can browse through artwork, jewelry, home decor, and seasonal items while enjoying live music, food trucks, and family entertainment.
Experience the artistry of our region while enjoying music, food, and family fun throughout the weekend.
Children’s activities will include face painting, balloon artists, and craft stations. This follows the same format as the popular Kids Zone attractions featured at the upcoming Paws in the Park and Pelham Palooza events.
“We’re excited to provide a platform for talented creators who don’t have storefronts,” said a Parks and Recreation spokesperson. The event will offer both indoor and outdoor booth spaces measuring 12×12 feet, with different pricing options available. Vendors must bring their own setup materials.
Only handmade and original works will be featured at the show. Commercial resellers won’t be accepted. Some popular categories like jewelry may have waiting lists due to high demand. Registration requires advance payment, and spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The craft show aims to stimulate local business growth while attracting visitors from surrounding areas. Public admission is free to encourage attendance. Planning began months in advance to guarantee vendor and entertainment availability, with marketing efforts including social media and local promotions.
Vendors can set up the evening before the event begins. The show will happen rain or shine, so weather preparedness is essential for outdoor participants. The department has created guidelines to manage potential challenges like space limitations and overcrowding.
The Spring Craft Show builds on other successful Pelham Parks and Recreation events like Pelham Palooza and Paws in the Park. Officials expect similar high attendance and may expand future shows based on feedback.
If successful, additional seasonal or themed craft shows could be added to diversify the city’s recreational calendar.
Pelham’s events continue to build community momentum through creative programming and family-friendly experiences. These shows are more than just seasonal entertainment, they serve as gathering points for local culture and commerce.
